We organize regular training workshops which are held in the Central Borders and Dumfries.

All our workshops and seminars are facilitated by highly professional, qualified and experienced speakers are held in comfortable surroundings and catering is included in the affordable for all delegate fees.

Discounts are available for block bookings of 6 or more delegates and BAAGS members.

Past speakers have included, Luke Beardon, Professor Rita Jordan, Stella MacDonald, Kirsten Haughey, Dr Mitzi Waltz, Olga Bogdashina, Richard Exley, Dean Beadle, Dawn Menzies. Topics covered so far have been Childhood to Adulthood, Sexuality, Sensory Issues, Education, Anger Management, Introduction to Autism, Coping Strategies.

We encourage suggestions for future speakers and topics as we feel it is important to address all issues a family or support worker may have to cope with.

BAAGS also deliver informal talks to small groups on request.



BAAGS regularly consult with other organizations to help them to gain a better understanding of how they can improve the service they offer to people on the Spectrum. I.e., Employement Support Agencies, Youth Care Workers, Foster Carers… etc.

Any person recently given a diagnosis can contact BAAGS and we will meet with them to help them appreciate what that diagnosis may mean to the and to help them decide what to do next and what help and support there may be available for them.

Anyone wishing to talk in a one-to-one setting can contact BAAGS and we will be happy to arrange a meeting and help answer any questions.
